Mesaba Negotiations update:  May 31, 2006

The AMFA negotiating team did meet with management today where we were provided with a comprehensive contract proposal. We were also provided with a letter
from John Spanjers in which he expressed his desire to reach a consensual deal with AMFA and indicated that if AMFA and Mesaba were unable to reach an agreement
by June 12, 2006, that Mesaba intends to renew its motion to reject our collective bargaining agreement. Mesaba has mailed a letter to all employees to this effect.
The negotiators will return to the bargaining table on Thursday morning at 9am at the Pan Am Training Facility. A complete update will follow.
